"In the world of exclusive and competitive college prep,
Brooklyn stands out as the helpful, friendly, and optimistic BFF
that every high school girl needs to get through the process."

I graduated from the University of San Diego Honors Program (go, Toreros!) and started my career working on higher education policy in California for a lot of really big education players, including the College Board. While I was sitting in on legislation hearings it became blatantly clear that there are still a lot of gaps in education equality, access, and resources—and one of those gaps is resources for teenage girls.

I also realized that I had the knowledge and experience to fill that gap, and that's when Nectar was born. I started creating some of the college prep resources that I wished were available to me when I was in high school and the number of blog posts, social media channels, video tutorials, and college resources that Nectar has to offer keeps growing by the day.

Nectar is a student-centric company and we are redefining the college application process. We empower young women to achieve their higher education goals and encourage them to lift each other up in the process. We exist to support the high school girls who want to change the world.

I can say that for the first half of the year, I really struggled with my admissions essays. Thanks to your essay guidance, I was able to better arrange my thoughts and I was accepted to William & Mary on a full-ride!

Brooklyn is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend her! She gave me some amazing advice on the college application process like reflecting more on what type of college I would like to apply to. And she helped me write an amazing personal statement!

FAQ

I have a great school counselor. Do I still need Bee Accepted?

First of all, lucky you! A great counselor can make a huge difference in the college application process.

This course is the perfect companion to working one-on-one with your counselor. You'll get a strong foundation and answers to the most common application questions, plus guidance on writing your best essays.

Then, you can focus on using your counseling time for actual counseling! Get help from your counselor on choosing which schools to apply to, managing the stress of the process, and as a second set of eyes to review your final essay draft!

I've already started my college apps, will this course still help me?

Even if you've already started your college applications or even submitted a few, you will absolutely still benefit from this course.

You can revisit parts of the application that you've already worked on (there is always room for improvement, honey) and use the course as a guide to scholarship applications.

Bee Accepted is a comprehensive course that will help you not only with college applications and scholarships, but also with applications for graduate school, internships, and future jobs. Yes, it really is that amazing!

Is this course going to add more work to my life? I'm too busy already!

When we designed this course, we had the busy bee in mind. Our goal is to help you craft the best college applications in the least amount of time so you can get back to enjoying your senior year.

Enrolling in this course will save you dozens of hours staring at a blank screen, going down internet rabbit holes, and wondering if you're even doing this right.

Each short video lesson is followed with clear action steps so you know exactly how to implement and move on to the next one. You'll also get time-saving templates for every part of the application process.

I'm only a junior. Is it too soon to buy this course?

Well, hello there, miss ambitious! We love it when girls join the hive early and get ahead on their applications.

Junior year is actually a great time to start your college apps. You'll save yourself a lot of stress senior year and you'll also be prepared to submit on the opening day for rolling admission schools, which can give you a huge admission and scholarship advantage.

If you're deciding between starting your college applications and your test prep, start with test prep first. But if you're already happy with your scores, then let's get started on your applications now.

No, and you should be skeptical of any counselor or service who promises otherwise.

All of my former students are very happy with their admissions results and their parents are extra happy with the scholarship results! Many of them are admitted to their top-choice college, but it is a result of their own merit and the hard work they invest in the college application process.

My job is to give students all of the resources they need to feel confident that they are submitting their best possible college application, and that's exactly what I do in the Bee Accepted course.

Do you guarantee college admission results from top choice schools?

Our #1 parent question and the one we ask ourselves all the time at Nectar headquarters.

College prep wasn't always necessary back in the days when students only took the SAT one time and chose the school closest to home. The cost of attending college has skyrocketed, acceptance rates have plummeted, and students have more options (and application requirements) than ever before.

We're happy to be a college prep solution for so many families and to offer a positive community to college-bound teens.
